A chore list for couples that nudges the right person
Give each chore an owner, leave it open, or take turns. HouseMouse reminds whoever’s up in their own WhatsApp chat, and a quick “done” marks it off. The list stops living in one person’s head.

It’s bin night, and it’s your turn. Reply “done” when they’re out.
done
Thanks. Your partner’s up next week.
Routines · doneTurns that stay fair
- Whoever does a turn, the other is up next. A skipped turn stays with the same person.
- The reminder comes the evening it’s due, with one more the next morning if it isn’t done.
- Still not done by midday? Your partner gets the chance to cover it.
Nobody keeps score in public
Reminders go to each person’s own chat, never a shared one. In a shared chat, HouseMouse never says which of you did what. The full history is on the web page, for the two of you.
Where it stops
- You set the owners and turns. Changing whose chore it is waits for a yes.
- Chores left open, for whoever gets to them, don’t send reminders.
- It’s built for two adults. Kids’ chores and bigger households aren’t what it does.
Questions
- Can it split chores for us automatically?
- It suggests upkeep jobs when you set up, and you decide who owns each one or whether you take turns. It never hands out chores on its own.
- Will my partner see that I skipped one?
- Not in a chat. The web page you share keeps the history, like any shared list would.
