About HouseMouse
HouseMouse is a private AI helper for couples who share a home. You both text it on WhatsApp. It asks who’s cooking, keeps the grocery list, remembers the bills and the repairs, and never changes anything until one of you says yes.
Why it exists
Two busy adults share a home, and someone has to keep track of it all: tonight’s dinner, the furnace filter, the bill due on Friday. With no one in charge of it, that work shows up only when it’s urgent, on the fridge door or in one person’s head.
HouseMouse puts it in one place you can both see. You both text the same helper, you can both fix what it remembers, and it reminds you before something is due, not after.
What it will never do
- Change things without a yes. Anything it wants to change waits for one of you. What you tell it yourself is saved straight away.
- Ask for your email inbox, bank logins or passwords.
- Move money or pay a bill. It tracks who paid what, and the money stays with you.
- Keep your street address. It knows your area and postal code, nothing more.
- Say which of you did what in a shared chat, except who owes whom on shared costs.
Where it stands today
HouseMouse is in an invite-only beta, and free while it is. We haven’t decided on paid plans. It’s made for a couple sharing a home, whether you own or rent. Kids’ schedules, school and homes with more than two people aren’t what it does.
New features will work the way the rest do: shared with both of you by default, asking before they act, and never asking for your accounts.
